Ethyahana

This hotel, aptly named "Ethyahana" meaning Abode of the Elephants, is situated in Kataragama in the deep south of Sri Lanka. It was originally purchased in the year 2004.

However, construction of the hotel commenced in 2010.This hotel which is situated and nestling among the lush greenery of the Kataragama area caught the eye of its present owner who is a devout Buddhist and a strong devotee of God Kataragama. The architectural designs were done by famous architect Mr. Sampath who also has the distinction of designing the now famous? Nelum Pokuna in Sri Lanka?.which is a modern theatre.

The "Ethyahana" hotel has been designed to highlight the ancient architecture of Sri Lanka with all modern amenities, for the convenience of the guests so that the guests who visit this unique hotel will enjoy the glorious past of Sri Lanka mixed with the modern comforts, and surrounded by an eco-friendly environment is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban living and enjoy its natural beauty and calm atmosphere.
